Offshore fishing in Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach NC is really starting to pick up!  The opening of grouper season has started off nicely, with good catches of gag grouper, grunts and porgy.  Trolling for king mackerel has been hit or miss, but the gaffer dolphin fishing in the gulf stream is strong, with a few wahoo still around as well.  Closer to the beach, we have been catching some nice sized bluefish, a few spanish mackerel, and the bonito and flase albacore are biting on casting jigs.  As the weather and water warms, the fishing is only going to get better!
