bail out click on this link to one of our new rides with WIlmington Fishing Charters. Sail Fish bite pretty well over the weekend. Capt Tom was Zero for three but at least he had some bites. He ended up with 10 nice maui’s on saturday and plenty of King Mackel over the weekend.

Good Wahoo bite up and down the caost this weekend. Sounded like from morehead down to Georgetown SC the usually summer wahoo bite has showed up. The wahoo fishing is hot or miss but if you are there when they are biteing man its fun. Lots of nice spanich and SHARKS on the beach. Big sharks I guess for shark week.. Lets go fishing give email us when you woudl like to go or call.

Crazy Sail Fish Bite

Friday afternoon seemed like we were in hatters with all the sail fish flags flying. We counted 26 flags. What a awesome bite. All these fish are being caught within 15 to 20 miles of the inlet.. hope to have some pictuers..

Been pretty windy this week. We did sneak out a few days and catch the spanish and blues just off the beach. Good turn out for the sail fish tourney this weekend. Good luck to every one fishing. Big news for us is the boat below. It will add great value and comfort to your charter. We now have a bathroom and a covered area to rest or get out of the sun. We start fishing her next week. Come be the first to try her out.

Sail Fish at Wrightsville Beach

What a great bite everyone had this past sunday with the sail fish. The top boat had 4 and many more boats had 2 or 3 and saw a missed plenty more. These fish are only 15 miles off our beach. People travel the world in search of catching these awesome fish. This weekend is a two day sail fish tournament out of bridge tender marine The Eddie Haneman sailf fish tournament. Captains party is wed night at the bridge tender. Come out and check out the set up. Fishing wed through the weekend. I hope the weather lays out some. Fishing has been good.

Hot weather this week and weekend But great Fishing

Its been hot this week. But I can tell you there is nothing like a nice cool ocean breeze. Fishing has been great we are catching all the spanish, blue fish and Big sharks you want right on the beach. Off shore is still good plenty of grouper and sea bass to be had. King mackeral bite has also gotten better. We will be fishing all weekend keep you posted. Preety cool picture from the Cape fear blue marlin tournament. You dont see six white marlin flags flying very often here. They caught the fish stright out of wrightsville. Give us a call…. Lets go fishing..

Good Surfing weather

The wind keep us from going out 20 to 30 in search of sailfish and grouper. We managed to stay close to the beach and caught plenty of the spanish, blue fish and sharks. Looks like the weather is going to be good this week.

Good King Bite

150 plus boats fishing the gotem kmt this past weekend. Very few big fish came to the scales. Brent Gainer and Michael Davis both good friends of mine ended up with the first and sencond place fish. A 36 and a 30lb. The leader board went down fast after that. However we have caught some realy nice fish this week. Plenty of mid 20’s and a few in the 30’s. If you like to live bait now if a good time to jump on and go.

The sail fish are still biteing and seem to be here to stay for a while. Something I love to do every year is Tarpon Fish. It was more of a local secret years ago but I think the word has gotten out. The Tarpon will start showing up now on the full moon and will stay around through the august full moon. The are mirgrating up our coast now and they stage up just off Bald Head Island. Lots of fun if you want to go.
