Summer is here and the Wrightsville Beach fishing is heating up nicely!  On our half day trips, the spanish mackerel fishing has been excellent, with catches in the double digits nearly each trip.  There have also been a few king mackerel and cobia around, some cobia as large as 60 lbs.  A bit further off the beach, we are catching plenty of cobia, amberjack and grouper, with the occasional king mackerel and gaffer dolphin mixed in.  The black sea bass fishing has been excellent with limits on half day trips being the norm.  We’ve seen a few sailfish, but have not yet landed one this season.  The bottom and grouper fishing has been great, with a few gag grouper tipping the scales at 20+ lbs!
